In 2025 Whanganui artist Catherine Macdonald was commissioned by the Guyton Group Trust to make a mural of my poem ‘Flow’ for the Guyton Street Poetry Trail. You can see this mural on the wall of Paige’s Book Gallery.

The mural was blessed by Whanganui kaumatua John Maihi at a small public celebration on 24 May 2025.

‘Flow’ is my ode to the Whanganui awa, written as part of my collection Flow: Whanganui River poems. Catherine and I have crossed paths creatively in the past: Catherine did the cover art for my book Dear Neil Roberts in 2014. I am a big fan of her work.

This mural received funding from Whanganui District Council’s Public Art Fund.
